netlink rfid's Fixed Assets RFID reconciles an entire room of identified assets all at once.  netlink rfid utilizes inexpensive, passive RFID tags that require no internal power supply. The tags receive incoming radio frequency signals emitted by a portable data terminal (PDT)/handheld computers with RFID tag reader. The incoming radio signals energize the tag, causing the tag to transmit its identification data back to the PDT.  Supported PDT's not only read, but can also write data to each tag.

The benefits of RFID go beyond tracking capabilities.  RFID tags provide greater accuracy in sustaining data. The tags store information in a long-lasting microchip, instead of barcode labels which may deteriorate over time and sometimes must be reapplied.
